Baby Food Fun

I must say I absolutely love making Drew's food. So far we have made peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, peaches, apricots, and plums. I'm such a nerd about it all, and I get so excited making sure the freezer stays stocked full of his foods. It's the little pleasures in life, right?

If that's the definition of a nerd, then I guess I would qualify as well! :)

You were totally right about using the crockpot - it was super easy when I made pears the other day. Have the other fruits been just as easy? How did the peas go? Anything I should watch out for?

Apricots, peaches and plums I just slice in half and bake in a little water at 400 for about an hour. Then when the fruit is soft you can easily peel the skin off and then blend. It was so easy.

The peas went good too. I bought the frozen ones in the steamer bags. Then I blended and put through a sieve quick to get big pieces of skin out.

I also found out that the frozen green beans taste a lot better than fresh. I ended up throwing all the fresh ones out b/c they were so gross. I figured if I can't eat it, then I shouldn't make Drew.

Good luck!!!!
